The Warren County Rescue Department's "Water Rescue Team" will conduct Water Patrols this weekend on Barren River near Beech Bend. This weekend Beech Bend is hosting a Harley event. Last year during this event a drowning occured when area teenagers attempted to cross the river to get into the park area.
Warren County Rescue will be out in force for this event to try and prevent a situation like that occuring again. Water Rescue units will be staged on the river near the park for quick reactionary responses. They will also be encouraging any other boaters in the area to wear their personal floatation devices and to not "drink and boat."
